What the agency told people to do
Be sure you are signed up for your local emergency alert system. You can find this information at dhsem.colorado.gov/emergencyalert. Follow all fire restrictions. Avoid activities that can cause sparks and do not park hot vehicles on dry vegetation. One less spark, one less wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
