A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans. The alert is effective from 11:04 PM CDT on August 31, 2026, until 1:00 AM CDT on September 1, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Terrebonne Bay; Coastal Waters from Port Fourchon LA to Lower Atchafalaya River LA out 20 nm; and Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM. Impacted locations include Isle Derniers, Caillou Bay, and Timbalier Island.
