Alert Details

A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Upton NY. The alert is effective from 10:45 PM EDT June 11, 2026, until 11:45 PM EDT June 11, 2026.

Affected Areas

The warning covers New York Harbor and the area from Sandy Hook NJ to Fire Island Inlet NY out 20 NM. Strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm northwest of South Amboy to 21 nm southwest of Cliffwood Beach, moving east at 25 knots. The storms will be near Raritan Bay around 11:00 PM EDT, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and Upper New York Harbor around 11:10 PM EDT, Lower New York Harbor around 11:15 PM EDT, Sandy Hook and Sandy Hook Bay around 11:20 PM EDT, and Rockaway Inlet around 11:25 PM EDT.
