A Special Marine Warning (event code MAW) has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans LA. The alert is effective from June 16, 2026 at 2:10 PM CDT until June 16, 2026 at 3:15 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Mississippi Sound, Breton Sound, Chandeleur Sound, and coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM. Impacted locations include Cat Island, Ship Island, Gulf Park Estates, Ocean Springs, and Biloxi.
