A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI. The alert is effective from June 11 at 7:07 PM CDT until June 11 at 7:45 PM CDT.

The warning covers nearshore waters from Wind Point WI to Winthrop Harbor IL, Lake Michigan from North Point Light WI to Winthrop Harbor IL 5 nm offshore to mid lake, and Lake Michigan from Wind Point WI to Winthrop Harbor IL 5 nm offshore to mid lake.

Small craft should avoid the area as strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 9:00 PM CDT for southeastern Wisconsin and the adjacent waters of Lake Michigan.

At 7:07 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 31 nm west of Saugatuck Pier Heads to 6 nm east of Waukegan Harbor, moving east at 55 knots. Hazard includes wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.
