Special Marine Warning issued by NWS Tallahassee FL. Effective from 12:00 PM CDT August 19, 2026 until 1:30 PM CDT August 19, 2026.
Affected Areas
Coastal waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach out 20 NM; Coastal Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola out 20 NM; Waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach from 20 to 60 NM; Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM.

Expected Conditions
At 12:00 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 27 nm southwest of Mexico Beach to 48 nm southwest of Empire Mica Wreck, moving southeast at 25 knots. Hazard includes wind gusts to 40 knots. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.
