Alert Details
A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Tallahassee FL. The alert is effective from May 9 at 11:54 AM CDT until May 9 at 1:30 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers St. Andrews Bay Waterways; Coastal waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach out 20 NM; Coastal Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola out 20 NM; and Waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach from 20 to 60 NM. Locations impacted include Panama City Beach, Laguna Beach, Cape San Blas, Mexico Beach, and Port St. Joe.

At 11:54 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 nm northwest of Mexico Beach to 14 nm southwest of Panama City Beach to near Okaloosa Deep Water Reef, moving southeast at 20 knots. Hazards include wind gusts 34 knots or greater, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.
