Special Marine Warning issued by NWS Melbourne FL. Effective from June 1, 2026 at 1:43 PM EDT until June 1, 2026 at 2:45 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm; Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm; Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 20-60 nm. Impacted locations include Eau Gallie, Indialantic, Melbourne Beach, West Melbourne, and Melbourne.
What You Should Do
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if possible.
Expected Conditions
Strong thunderstorms located along a line extending from 27 nm east of Jetty Park to 14 nm southeast of Port Canaveral to near West Melbourne, moving southeast at 30 knots. Hazard includes wind gusts 34 knots or greater, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy downpours.
