A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans. The alert is effective from June 2 at 12:12 AM CDT until June 2 at 1:45 AM CDT.

The warning covers Breton Sound, Chandeleur Sound, Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm, Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM, Coastal Waters from Stake Island LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River from 20 to 60 nm, and Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM.

Seek shelter or move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service.
Expected Conditions
A cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts was located along a line extending from 8 nm west of Chandeleur Sound to 41 nm south of Farewell Buoy, moving southwest at 20 knots. Hazard includes waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
