A Special Marine Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Tallahassee FL. The alert is effective from 6:51 AM EDT on August 25, 2026, until 8:45 AM EDT on August 25, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Coastal Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola out 20 NM; Coastal Waters From Ochlockonee River to Apalachicola FL out to 20 NM; Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM; and Waters from Suwannee River to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets.
Expected Conditions
Severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm east of S Tower to 29 nm south of C Tower, moving east at 15 knots. Hazards include waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.
