Affected Areas
Apalachee Bay or Coastal Waters From Keaton Beach to Ochlockonee River FL out to 20 Nm; Coastal Waters From Ochlockonee River to Apalachicola FL out to 20 Nm. Locations impacted include Marker 24 Barge.
What You Should Do
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Expected Conditions
Strong thunderstorms located along a line extending from near St. Marks to 10 nm northwest of Marker 24 Barge to 14 nm north of K Tower, moving southeast at 15 knots. Hazard includes wind gusts 34 knots or greater. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.
