Alert Details
Special Marine Warning issued by NWS Corpus Christi TX. Effective from 2:54 AM CDT June 21, 2026 until 4:00 AM CDT June 21, 2026. Alert type code: MA.W.
Affected Areas
San Antonio, Mesquite, and Espiritu Santo Bays; Coastal waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel out 20 NM. Locations impacted include Port Oconnor. A severe thunderstorm was located 20 nm southeast of Seadrift.
What You Should Do
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets.
Expected Conditions
Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage vessels and oil rigs.
