Special Marine Warning issued by NWS Corpus Christi TX. Effective from 8:01 AM CDT May 27, 2026 until 9:30 AM CDT May 27, 2026.
Affected Areas
Copano, Aransas, and Redfish Bays; San Antonio, Mesquite, and Espiritu Santo Bays; Coastal waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas out 20 NM; Coastal waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel out 20 NM; Waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas from 20 to 60 NM; Waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel from 20 to 60 NM. Locations impacted include Seadrift, Port Oconnor, and Rockport.
What You Should Do
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
Expected Conditions
Severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small hail. Storms moving east at 35 knots.
