Affected Areas
Upper Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor; Ripley to Dunkirk NY; Dunkirk to Buffalo NY; Ripley to Buffalo NY extending from 5NM off shoreline to US-Canadian border; Lower Niagara River. Locations impacted include Small Boat Harbor, Van Buren Point, Lake Erie Beach, Grand Island, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Youngstown, Wanakah, Lewiston, Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, Sunset Bay, and Niagara River.

At 7:22 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 25 nm west of Lewiston, or 26 nm southwest of Niagara River, moving east at 45 knots. Hazard: Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. Impact: Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
