Alert Details
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning (SVR) has been issued by the National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ. The alert is effective from September 1, 2026 at 9:33 PM EDT until September 1, 2026 at 10:30 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Central Atlantic County, South central Ocean County, Northeastern Cape May County, and Southeastern Burlington County in southern New Jersey. Impacted locations include Atlantic City, Ocean City, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine, Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Egg Harbor City, Tuckerton, Sea Isle City, Estell Manor, Port Republic, Longport, Corbin City, Beesleys Point, Seaville, Wading River, and Strathmere. Affected highways include the Garden State Parkway between mile markers 18 and 57 and the Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 0 and 19.

Expected Conditions
Severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Batsto to near Port Republic to 7 miles northeast of Brigantine, moving south at 30 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts capable of damaging roofs, siding, trees, and power lines. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are occurring.
