Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Shreveport LA. Effective from 9:04 AM CDT to 10:00 AM CDT on May 23, 2026.

Sabine County in eastern Texas and southeastern San Augustine County in eastern Texas. Locations impacted include Milam, Hemphill, Pineland, Rosevine, Yellowpine, Bronson, McElroy and Fairmount.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Expected Conditions

At 9:04 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8 miles southwest of Rosevine to 38 miles southeast of Pineland, moving northeast at 30 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and small hail. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Torrential rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Tornadoes are possible.
