Alert Details
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls SD. The alert is effective from June 9 at 11:48 PM CDT until June 10 at 12:30 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Beadle County, eastern Jerauld County, western Kingsbury County, northwestern Miner County, and northern Sanborn County in South Dakota.

At 11:47 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Willow Lake to 6 miles northeast of Iroquois to near Forestburg, moving northeast at 50 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. A 55 mph wind gust was reported at 11:35 PM CDT 11 miles northwest of Yale, SD. Hail damage to vehicles is expected, along with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
