Alert Details
The National Weather Service in League City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwestern Montgomery County and south central Walker County in southeastern Texas. The alert is effective from 7:59 PM CDT until 8:30 PM CDT on May 10, 2026.

The warning covers northwestern Montgomery County and south central Walker County. Locations impacted include Northern Conroe, Willis, Panorama Village, and New Waverly.
What You Should Do
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Lake Conroe, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

At 7:59 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of Montgomery, or 11 miles northwest of Willis, moving east at 10 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail (1.00 inch). Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
