Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Phoenix AZ. Effective from August 9 at 9:31 PM MST until August 9 at 10:15 PM MST. Alert type code: SVR.
Affected Areas
Maricopa County in south central Arizona. Locations impacted include Gila Bend and Gila Bend Auxiliary Field. Highways: AZ Interstate 8 between mile markers 101 and 118; AZ Route 85 between mile markers 1 and 30.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 9:30 PM MST, a cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms was located 15 miles south of Gila Bend Auxiliary Field, or 19 miles south of Gila Bend, moving west at 15 mph. Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts.
