A Severe Thunderstorm Warning (SVR) has been issued by the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX. The alert is effective from May 26, 2026 at 4:48 PM CDT until May 26, 2026 at 5:45 PM CDT.

At 4:48 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Laughlin AFB to 15 miles west of Quemado, moving southeast at 25 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail (1.25 inches). Hail damage to vehicles is expected, along with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Torrential rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Continuous cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring.
