Alert Details
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning (SVR) has been issued by the National Weather Service in Lincoln IL. The alert is effective from June 17 at 6:44 PM CDT until June 17 at 7:30 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Coles County in east central Illinois, northeastern Cumberland County in east central Illinois, and southeastern Douglas County in east central Illinois. This includes the communities of Humboldt, Mattoon, and Charleston. The storm was located over Cooks Mill or near Mattoon at 6:43 PM CDT, moving southeast at 45 mph. Affected highways include Interstate 57 between mile markers 185 and 204 and Interstate 70 between mile markers 125 and 126. Fox Ridge State Park and Walnut Point State Park are also included.
