Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Binghamton NY. Effective from May 13, 2026 at 4:40 PM EDT until May 13, 2026 at 5:45 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Eastern Cayuga County, northern Cortland County, and Onondaga County in central New York. Locations impacted include Onondaga, Syracuse, Clay, Cicero, De Witt, Lysander, Van Buren, Baldwinsville, Pompey, and North Syracuse.

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Owasco, Skaneateles and Otisco Lakes, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Move to safe shelter now if you can hear thunder.

At 4:38 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Fulton to near Jordan to near Casowasco to near Genoa, moving east at 40 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail (0.88 inch). Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
