A Severe Thunderstorm Warning (SVW) has been issued by the National Weather Service in Wakefield VA. The alert is effective from 1:00 PM EDT on May 27, 2026, until 2:00 PM EDT on May 27, 2026.

Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to 0.75 inches. Expect damage to trees and powerlines. Severe thunderstorms will be near Colonial Beach and Port Royal around 1:40 PM EDT. Other impacted locations include Currioman Landing, Hustle, Potomac Beach, Guinea, Corbin, Supply, Penola, Stratford Hall, Nancy Wrights Corner, and Ruther Glen.
