Affected Areas
McDowell County in western North Carolina; Northern Rutherford County in western North Carolina; Northwestern Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina; Southwestern Burke County in western North Carolina. Locations impacted include Marion, Glen Alpine, Lake Lure, Old Fort, Casar, South Mountains State Park, Nebo, Green Hill, Thermal City, and Pleasant Gardens.

Expected Conditions
At 2:15 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles southwest of Morganton to 4 miles south of Marion to 19 miles south of Spruce Pine, moving south at 20 mph. Hazard includes 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail (0.88 inch). Source is radar indicated. Expect damage to trees and power lines.
