Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Denver CO. Effective from 3:58 PM MDT August 13, 2026, until 4:30 PM MDT August 13, 2026.
Affected Areas
Western Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado and northeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado. Locations impacted include Southern Aurora, eastern Centennial, northeastern Highlands Ranch, Parker, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Arapahoe Park, Foxfield and Cherry Creek Reservoir.
What You Should Do
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure.
Expected Conditions
At 3:58 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Centennial, or 10 miles southeast of Denver, moving east at 15 mph. Hazard includes ping pong ball size hail (1.50 inches) and 60 mph wind gusts. Radar indicated.
