Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Mount Holly NJ. Effective from August 7, 2026 at 2:53 PM EDT until August 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Northern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey and northeastern Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania. Locations impacted include Blairstown, Bangor, Pen Argyl, Hope, East Bangor, Delaware Water Gap, Allamuchy-Panther Valley, Columbia, Millbrook, Great Meadows-Vienna, Roseto, and Portland. This includes Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 1 and 22.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Expected Conditions
At 2:53 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bangor, or 11 miles north of Easton, moving northeast at 10 mph. Hazard includes 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail (0.75 inch). Source: Radar indicated. Impact: Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.
