SVRGJT The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado... Western Garfield County in west central Colorado... * Until 645 PM MDT. * At 612 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 15 miles northwest of Fruita, or 24 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Public. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mesa and western Garfield Counties.
