East central York County in Upstate South Carolina... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 502 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles northwest of Uptown Charlotte, or over Northwest Charlotte, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, and Pineville.
