Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Goodland KS (NOAA). Effective from August 21, 2026 at 12:29 AM CDT until August 21, 2026 at 1:30 AM CDT. Alert code: SVR.

Affected Areas

Southeastern Thomas County, northeastern Logan County, southwestern Sheridan County, and northwestern Gove County in Kansas. The storm was located 4 miles northeast of Oakley moving south at 20 mph and will be near Oakley around 12:35 AM CDT, including Interstate 70 between mile markers 64 and 85.

What You Should Do

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are especially susceptible to winds and may be overturned. Do not drive through flooded roadways. Torrential rainfall may lead to flash flooding.
