Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Flagstaff AZ. Effective from 2026-08-19T15:00:00-07:00 until 2026-08-19T15:30:00-07:00.

Affected Areas

Gila County in east central Arizona and Navajo County in north central Arizona. Locations impacted include Whiteriver, Rainbow City, Seven Mile, Turkey Creek, Fort Apache, Whiteriver Airport, Kinishba Ruins, Canyon Day and East Fork. This includes State Route 73 between mile markers 325 and 341.

What You Should Do

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Expected Conditions

60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. Torrential rainfall is also occurring and may lead to flash flooding. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
