At 4:58 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Athens moving southeast at 5 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail (1.00 inch). Hail damage to vehicles is expected along with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Heavy rainfall is occurring and may lead to flash flooding.
