Alert Details
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning (SVR) has been issued by the National Weather Service Indianapolis IN. The alert is effective from August 13 at 11:57 PM EDT until August 14 at 1:00 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers northeastern Madison County in central Indiana and northwestern Delaware County in east central Indiana. Locations impacted include Alexandria, Yorktown, Chesterfield, Eaton, Daleville, Summitville, Gaston, and Orestes. This includes Interstate 69 between mile markers 234 and 252.

Remain alert for a possible tornado. If you spot a tornado, go at once into the basement or a small central room in a sturdy structure. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 11:56 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Swayzee, or near Fairmount, moving southeast at 25 mph. Hazards include ping pong ball size hail (1.50 inches) and 60 mph wind gusts. Tornadoes are possible. Torrential rainfall may lead to flash flooding.
