Central Davidson County in central North Carolina... * Until 245 PM EDT. * At 148 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Huntsville, or near Yadkinville, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Winston-Salem, Lexington, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Huntsville, Linwood, Lewisville, Pfafftown, High Rock Lake, and Arcadia. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 84 and 95. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 182 and 194.

Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
