South central York County in Upstate South Carolina... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 604 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of Chester, or near Lowrys, and is nearly stationary. It may begin to drift south or new storms may develop near it and also become severe. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Chester, Mcconnells, Richburg, Lowrys, and Chester State Park.
