A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in North Platte NE. The alert is effective from August 17 at 8:15 PM CDT until August 17 at 9:15 PM CDT.

At 8:15 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lacreek Wildlife Refuge, or 11 miles southeast of Martin, moving southeast at 30 mph. Hazards include 70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail (1.25 inches). Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Considerable tree damage, wind damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings is likely.
