Affected Areas
Southwestern Alamance County, southeastern Davidson County, Randolph County, and northwestern Chatham County in central North Carolina. Locations impacted include Asheboro, Randleman, North Carolina Zoo, Siler City, Seagrove, Liberty, Ramseur, Denton, Franklinville, and Staley, including Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 62 and 82.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
Expected Conditions
At 6:47 PM EDT, several severe thunderstorms were located from near High Rock northeast to Asheboro to near Siler City, moving east at 25 mph. Hazard includes 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to 0.75 inches. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
