Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by NWS Jackson KY. Effective from August 1 at 10:00 PM EDT until August 1 at 10:30 PM EDT. Alert type code: SVR.

Affected Areas

Bath County, Northeastern Montgomery County, Southeastern Fleming County, and Southwestern Rowan County in east central Kentucky. Storm was located over Odessa near Owingsville moving east at 25 mph. Will be near Peasticks around 10:05 PM EDT, Grange City around 10:10 PM EDT, and Ringos Mills around 10:20 PM EDT. Other locations in path include Ramey.

What You Should Do

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Move indoors immediately. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Expected Conditions

60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail (1.00 inch). Hail damage to vehicles expected. Wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Torrential rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Continuous cloud to ground lightning occurring.
