A Red Flag Warning for lightning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Anchorage. The alert is in effect from 1 PM AKDT Friday to 1 AM AKDT Saturday.
Affected Areas
The warning covers the Lower Matanuska Valley, Western Susitna Valley, Southern Susitna Valley, Central Susitna Valley, and Northern Susitna Valley. Specific locations include areas from Palmer north along the Parks Highway to Chulitna, along the Denali Highway, and the western Susitna Valley including Skwentna.
