Flood Warning issued by NWS Chicago IL on August 1 at 8:13AM CDT, effective from August 1 at 8:13AM CDT until August 3 at 12:00AM CDT.

Affected Areas

Will County, IL. East Branch Du Page River at Bolingbrook affecting DuPage and Will Counties. Du Page River at Shorewood affecting Will County, from IL-59 in Plainfield downstream to confluence with Des Plaines River, including the Shorewood gauge.

Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 7:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.2 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 16.4 feet tomorrow morning, then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. Flood stage is 15.5 feet. At 16.0 feet, Clark Drive threatened in Shorewood.
