A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Indianapolis IN. The alert is effective from August 14, 2026 at 4:56 AM EDT until August 14, 2026 at 8:30 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Southern Montgomery County, Parke County, Putnam County, and Central Vermillion County in west central Indiana. Locations that will experience flooding include Greencastle, Rockville, Newport, Cayuga, Montezuma, Ladoga, Roachdale, Bainbridge, Dana, Fillmore, Russellville, New Ross, Bloomingdale, Mecca, Marshall, Cecil Harden Lake, Judson, Turkey Run State Park, Carpentersville and Groveland.

Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. At 4:56 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches possible. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
