Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Indianapolis IN. The alert is effective from late Friday night through Thursday, August 20.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Clark County, IL; Crawford County, IL; Sullivan County, IN; and Vigo County, IN. Specific river locations include the Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, Terre Haute, and Riverton.

Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast along the Wabash River at Terre Haute as a result of heavy rainfall. At 19.5 feet, water begins to rise in the Izaak Walton Lake and sheet flowing water begins in the wetland project between U.S. 40 and I-70.
Timeline
The alert was sent August 13 at 12:22PM EDT and is effective from late Friday night (onset August 15 at 2:00AM EDT) until August 20 at 7:09AM EDT. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to a crest of 20.0 feet Monday morning, then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
