Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 21.0 feet, extensive agricultural flooding in progress in areas not protected by levees. In Lawrence County Illinois, River Road is flooded from the Lincoln Memorial Bridge to the east edge of Billett. Current stage at 2:45 AM EDT Monday was 12.9 feet.
Timeline
Flooding expected to begin near Vincennes late Tuesday night (onset August 19 at 2:00 AM EDT). The river is expected to rise above flood stage (16.0 feet) early Wednesday morning and continue rising to a crest of 21.2 feet Sunday evening.
