A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans LA. The alert was sent at 8:17PM CDT on June 16, 2026, and is in effect from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon.
Affected Areas
The warning covers St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, including the Tchefuncte River above U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington, the Bogue Falaya River at Camp Covington, and the Bogue Falaya River at Boston St in Covington.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. At 20.0 feet, water will invade Camp Tchefuncte's parking lot and vehicles must be removed to higher ground. Residents should closely monitor forecasts for changes.
Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. The Tchefuncte River is expected to rise above flood stage (20.0 feet) to a crest of 20.5 feet early Thursday morning. The Bogue Falaya River is also forecast to experience minor flooding.
