Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected. At 1000 PM AKDT, river gauge reports indicate steep rises in water levels. Rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 inches have already fallen with up to another 0.5 inches expected through midday Tuesday. For Slate Creek at Coldfoot, the stage was 18.5 feet at 9:15 PM (flood stage 18.7 feet) with a crest around 18.7 feet expected around 4:00 AM Tuesday.
