Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 3:45 AM CDT the stage was 26.8 feet. Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet. Flood stage is 27.0 feet. The river will rise above flood stage this morning and reach 29.2 feet this afternoon. At 29.0 feet, parking lots of businesses just south of Falls City in the floodplain begin to be impacted and overflow begins at the Highway 73 bridge.

Onset at 2026-06-05T09:36:00-05:00. Expires 2026-06-05T16:00:00-05:00. Ends 2026-06-06T09:00:00-05:00. The river will fall below flood stage late this afternoon to 15.9 feet tomorrow morning, then rise to 16.3 feet early tomorrow afternoon before falling again and remaining below flood stage.
