Alert Details
A Flood Warning (event code FLW) was issued by the National Weather Service New Orleans LA on June 16 at 9:47AM CDT. The alert is effective from late Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
Affected Areas
Washington Parish, LA and Pearl River County, MS. Specific rivers include the Bogue Chitto River near Tylertown (Walthall and Pike Counties), Bogue Chitto River near Bush (St. Tammany Parish), Pearl River near Bogalusa (Pearl River and Washington Counties), and Pearl River near Pearl River (Pearl River, Hancock and St. Tammany Counties).

Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 18.5 feet and 20.0 feet, woodlands and crop acreage along the river will be flooded, and the Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (18.0 feet) to a crest of 19.0 feet.
