A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Burlington VT for the Missisquoi River Near North Troy affecting Orleans County. The alert is effective from 4:16 AM EDT on June 19, 2026, until 4:44 PM EDT on June 19, 2026.
Affected Areas
Orleans County, Vermont, specifically the Missisquoi River near North Troy. Impacts extend from Lowell downstream to North Troy, including farm lands, Loop Road near Troy and Westfield, River Road from Troy to North Troy, and portions of Route 100 near Troy and Lowell.

Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 8.0 feet, water overflows onto farm lands from Lowell downstream to North Troy. At 9.0 feet, water floods farmlands along the Missisquoi River from Lowell to North Troy, with low lying portions of Loop Road and River Road flooding. At 11.0 feet, water inundates River Road between Troy and North Troy, portions of Loop Road, and Route 100. At 3:30 AM EDT, the stage was 8.9 feet. Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

The warning is in effect from early this morning to late this afternoon on June 19, 2026. The river is expected to rise then fall below flood stage late this morning, reaching 3.6 feet Sunday evening.
