Flood Warning issued by NWS Grand Junction CO. Effective from September 2 at 11:28 AM MDT until September 2 at 2:30 PM MDT. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Expected.
Affected Areas
Northwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado, including Fruita and Loma. Streams and drainages: Layton Wash, Dry Gulch, Reed Wash, Lipan Wash, Adobe Creek, Coyote Wash, Big Salt Wash and Little Salt Wash.

Expected Conditions
Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall. At 11:26 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 0.3 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are expected. Flooding of creeks, streams, arroyos and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
