Alert Details

Flood Warning issued by NWS Huntsville AL. Effective from August 21 at 1:29 AM CDT until August 21 at 5:00 AM CDT. Replaces previous Flash Flood Warning.

Affected Areas

Jackson, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan counties in Alabama. Specific areas include southeastern Limestone County, Madison County, northern Morgan County, northwestern Jackson County, northwestern Marshall County and northeastern Lawrence County.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Expected Conditions

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Flooding is already occurring.
