Flood Warning issued by NWS Charleston WV. Effective from August 14 at 11:09 AM EDT until August 14 at 4:00 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Northern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio, Southeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio, and North Central Mason County in western West Virginia. Specific locations include Pomeroy, Rutland, Chester, Wilkesville, Harrisonville, Darwin, Dexter, Dyesville, Carpenter and Salem Center.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free 800 401 9535 when safe.
Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Around 2 inches of rain fell from thunderstorms earlier this morning. Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring with many areas of slow moving or standing water.
